International Graduate Course: Plant Ecophysiology in Extreme Environments

After 5 years since the series of courses on Plant Ecophysiology was suspended due to the pandemic, Parque Katalapi is pleased to announce that this successful international course on Plant Ecophysiology will resume from January 21–27, 2026.

The Universities of La Frontera and Concepción have once again joined forces to offer a new international postgraduate course, “Plant Ecophysiology in Extreme Environments.” The course will take place at Parque Katalapi from January 21–27, 2026. This new edition includes 84 hours of theoretical and field classes. The organizing committee is led by Dr. León Bravo from the University of La Frontera (Temuco), with the collaboration of Drs. Patricia Sáez (U. La Frontera), Lohengrin Cavieres (U. de Concepción), and Luis Corcuera (Parque Katalapi). A distinguished group of international specialists will also participate, including Professors Jaume Flexas (UIB, Spain), Marilyn Ball (ANU, Australia), Ignacio García-Plazaola (UPV, Spain), Beatriz Fernández Marín (UPV, Spain), Antonio Díaz Espejo (CSIC, Spain), Tomás Fuenzalida (UAI, Chile), and Enrique Ostria (UDEC, Chile), Néstor Fernández del Saz (UGR, Spain).
Applicants must complete the application form and send it to Patricia Sáez before December 5, 2025. The course fee is 500,000 Chilean pesos. This amount includes full meals and accommodation at Parque Katalapi during the course dates.
