28th Outdoor Training Workshop for Environmental Education Facilitators at Katalapi Park, November 28-30, 2025

WORKSHOP IN SPANISH
Due to the high interest in enrolling in the last workshop, we have decided to organize the 28th edition of the Outdoor Environmental Education Facilitators Training Workshop at the Katalapi Park Nature Sanctuary, from November 28–30, 2025.
We invite you to take part in this new edition of a space for gathering, learning, and connecting with nature. During the workshop, you will develop practical and methodological tools to facilitate outdoor educational experiences, strengthen your skills as an environmental educator, and share with a diverse community committed to caring for the environment.
This workshop, coordinated by Ana María Vliegenthart, aims to strengthen competencies in the design and implementation of outdoor educational experiences, using the experiential learning cycle methodology to foster meaningful learning, connection with nature, and ecological awareness.
By the end of the workshop, participants will be able to:
-
Understand the fundamental principles of environmental education.
-
Design and facilitate activities applying the experiential learning cycle methodology in nature.
-
Develop outdoor facilitation skills, integrating the ethics of environmental care.
The workshop is aimed at teachers, environmental and community educators, park rangers, and related professionals who are currently engaged in—or wish to engage in—formal environmental education (in schools) and/or informal environmental education. No prior specialization is required, but a strong enthusiasm for nature and education is essential.
The methodology used in the workshop is experiential, resulting in a dynamic program that combines theoretical presentations with applied activities and fun games, both outdoors and in the classroom.
