After 10 years, Katalapi park will offer again the International course on Ecophysiology of Photosynthesis on January 9-16, 2020

The universities of La Frontera, de Concepcion, and Austral de Chile are offereing again the International graduate level course on Ecophysiology of Photosynthesis: theoretical and practical approaches”. This new version of the course considers 84 h of lectures and lab and field activities. Practical sessions on gases exchanges and fluorescence measurements will be an important part of the course. The organizing committee is dirtected by Dr Leon A Bravo of Universidad de La Frontera (Temuco), with the cooperation of Drs Patricia Sáez and Lohengrin Cavieres of Universidad de Concepción and Rafael Coopman of Universidad Austral de Chile. An outstanding group of specialists will also participate in the course: Professors Jaume Flexas (UIB, Spain) , Jeroni Galmés (UIB, Spain), Jorge Gago (UIB, Spain) Ignacio García-Plazaola ( UPV/EHU, Spain), Melanie Morales (UIB, Spain), Ülo Niinemets (EULS, Estonia) , Ingo Ensminger (UT, Canada), Claudio Pastenes (UCh, Chile) y Nestor Fernández (UdeC, Chile). In addition, experts from Li-Cor will be available to teach the use and maintenance and repairs of the instruments Li6400 and Li6800.
Those interested in the course must fill the application form and sent it to leon.bravo@ufrontera.cl before October 15 2019. Registration cost is $220.000 Chilean pesos (about US$310) for students and $350.000 Chilean pesos (about US$ 493) for profesionales . These amounts include food and lodging in Katalapi Park during the course.
